About David Kopec
I work as an associate professor at Champlain College, teaching a wide variety of computer science courses including Data Structures & Algorithms, iOS Development, Android Development, Open Source Software Development, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, and a programming language theory course amongst others. I have a background in iOS and Web development, and I am an active indie app developer and open source project leader.I have authored four programming books: "Classic Computer Science Problems in Java" (Manning, 2020), "Classic Computer Science Problems in Python" (Manning, 2019), "Classic Computer Science Problems in Swift" (Manning, 2018), and "Dart for Absolute Beginners" (Apress, 2014). "Classic Computer Science Problems in Python" was a best seller for my publisher and has been translated into seven languages.Prior to my work in computer science education, I was an app development consultant. I am still interested in taking-on software development projects on a contract basis. Please reach out to me if you are interested in working with me.I did my undergraduate studies in Economics (minoring in English) at Dartmouth College where I also completed a Masters in Computer Science. More recently, I completed an online MBA through Quantic as well.
