When I had to pick a university (and my future career), I was overwhelmed with doubt. My family voted for a doctor (half of them are medical workers), I myself dreamed about IT, but what I was good at is a completely different thing – writing (scored top #1 in my hometown during preliminary literature exams). Three completely different paths from which I should pick one… Until I learned about tech writing, which seemed like an absolute miracle: a job that allowed me to be involved in software development, but at the same put my passion to write to good use. Well, that still doesn't tick all three checkboxes (unless I join DexCom or Intuitive Surgical), but I'm totally satisfied with two.I am completely convinced about two things: first, writing is a form of art. Anyone who read Haruki Murakami or Donna Tartt would agree it takes tremendous skill to explain complex things in a simple language. And second, documentation is a part of a product. Not an optional addition to the main product that lags behind the primary development lifecycle, and appears as an afterthought at the very last moment. No, great documentation strengthens great products and helps readers to decide in favor of your company.Since I wrote my first technical API description more than 10 years ago, my passion for writing did not diminish. It grew even stronger when I discovered new realms of creative writing, posting newsletters, talking to real-life users, and learning from the best in community resources. Add a development team of highly professional, motivated, and friendly developers to the mix, and I'm ready to call it a dream job.I'm super excited about the rapid transition to "digital everything", and interested in fintech, crypto, SaaS cybersecurity solutions, and complex data analysis. When I’m not at work, I’m honing communication skills with my primary mentor – an English bulldog Lauren. Trust me, if you have enough patience and empathy to make a bulldog do what she doesn’t want to, you probably have enough to deal with challenging tasks in the office. And since I also share a roof with a cat, a bunny, and an amazing woman, I can probably call myself someone with a large experience in resolving conflicts and fights, and promoting a healthy, diversified environment where everyone is a team player :)
