Lyomark Pharma was founded in Oberhaching, near Munich, in 1989 as a contract manufacturer and active ingredient manufacturer for niche products. As the name suggests, Lyomark supplies sterile lyophilised and liquid products, and has firmly established itself in this sector of the pharmaceutical industry over the last 25 years.In addition to manufacturing, our services to the pharmaceutical industry range from the provision and maintenance of dossiers to the submission of national and international marketing authorisation applications for well-known pharmaceutical companies.

Labor L+S AG's competencies are organised in three divisions: Microbiology, microbiological services and diagnostics. We conduct sterile and non-sterile tests according to specific needs and methodically tailored to pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics and food. Working on a customer-specific basis, we develop and validate test procedures and use our expertise in consulting and supporting complex projects (PAT, quality by design, production monitoring, system qualification, process validation, stability testing and employee training).In order to strengthen the product and service portfolio we are now setting up the division "innovations" which will act as the in house incubator for new ideas. In my position I am responsible for all matters ralated to leading the company, as well as visiting and advising clients. SynCo Bioppartners is a CRO for BioPharmaceuticals from research via production right to fill and finishing.Hired as scientist analytical R&D I found myself becoming (joint) acting head of the analytical and process development department (APD) from day one. This as the former head of department left the company. In this role I was responsible for meeting project targets and timelines. This was during a time of change, where the whole company transferred from a production facility to a fully integrated CRO. Furthermore, I got responsibilities as line manager for the 10+ members of the department. I mostly interacted with internal (Production / QA / QC / BD) but sometimes also external clients. I reported directly to the CEO and the QP of the company. The second acting head was responsible for the scientific work of the APD.

In this role I lead my analytical team of 4 lab technicians in the transition process as the group was amalgamated with the QC department to form the analytical development group. Working under full GMP the task was to develop and validate analytical methods. These were the used to perform stability studies and general batch release.

Synthon is a generic drug company. It develops its products from A-Z and is fully integrated with facilities in the Netherland, Argentina, Check-Republic and Spain.In this role I led a group of 3-4 lab technicians to develop analytical methods for several concurrent projects. The methods were used for support of chemical and pharmaceutical development and the final aim was to develop stability indicating methods ready for transfer to the QC lab. For this I kept relationships to the Project Management team, the respective Project Managers Chemical and Pharmaceutical Development and the QC department. Methods used were mainly HPLC but also every other test routinely used in the pharmaceutical industry.
