Initiated and managed a project to automate the material handling and some of the post processing at the main plant. Two aluminum extrusion lines where integrated with an automated storage that delivered the extruded material to post processing and packaging. The automation generated significant savings, productivity improvements and quality improvement. The improvements positioned ProfilGruppen to be more competive for Key account business vs larger competitors.

Production Manager for a subdivision of ProfilGruppen where aluminum extrusions where cut to length, deburred, punched and bent to customer specifications. Responsible for a staff of 25 workers, 3 supervisors and administrative support. The business unit had a separate income statement and budget. Part of my responsibility was to provide quotations and cost calculations as well as interact with Key accounts with regards to process improvement, quality and delivery. The business unit supplied several customers in the automotive segment as well as large industrial customers, each with their own supplier quality systems and requirements. Participated in several projects with Key accounts to improve productivity, cost and logistic solutions. Received training in Lean manufacturing and QA systems.

Supervisor for one shift on a takted production line at Scanias wheel axle plant. Gained valuable experience in “shop floor management” and the daily implementation of Lean manufacturing as a leader. Responsible for setting wages, managing employees and achieving production targets. Representing manufacturing on daily quality and delivery meetings. Received extensive training in Scanias Lean production system as well as leadership.

Hired by the plant Manager to co-ordinate quality and other improvement projects at the plant. Completed multiple projects and co-ordinated improvement projects involving multiple departments. Received extensive training in Scanias production system.
