Responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule and detailed network schedules (in MS Project Server) for the development and construction of the Europa Lander Project. Performed the extraction and analysis of various schedule related data for reporting purposes, analysis of earned value performance data, preparation of slack tables, ‘need by” date management, critical path analyses required for monthly/quarterly reporting and maintenance of the project schedules and performance measurement archive. Produce, maintain and review weekly integrated look-ahead schedules, major milestone schedule, resource plans and associated communication tools for each work center working closely with the shop floor planners and production management that account for work center capacity and identify over-capacity situations that require additional resources, overtime, and/or subcontractors. Lead the communication of master yard schedules, capacity plans, and associated issues to program management, engineering, production management, senior company management, and the customer representatives. Work closely with management to develop, maintain, and improve all project scheduling and integrated scheduling standards, and to assist with training project schedulers. Serve as the primary back-up for the Scheduling Manager.

Collaborates with management team in the implementation and coordination of lean initiatives/projects to enhance the organizational effectiveness in fabrication. Develops and executes new processes or improves existing processes to streamline production work flow and administration support functions. Developed & implemented detailed, logic driven, resource loaded project scheduling, as well as, the company’s planning structure, allowing the measurement of work down to a granular level of detail. This level of detail allowed the work scope to be gauged and data to be gathered for both current work scope inefficiencies and historical information to be used at the estimating phase for future business. Developed & implemented the reporting system (EVMS reporting) and management tools for gauging the performance of different phases of a job, and the performance of the supervisors and employees on each job. Established an employee evaluation system/report to ensure accountability as well as compensation for those performing at or above the standards set. All aspects of the schedule, the plan and the reporting function directly tied into the time charging system/software for measuring a job on a real time basis. I interacted directly with the company owners, project management, shop floor supervisors, and customer representatives to make day to day decisions that moved the projects toward completion. I developed and implemented pre-construction build strategy meeting to assist production in the full understanding of the work scope and customer expectations prior to commencing the work. When this was first implemented we (management, owners and customers) saw an immediate improvement in work efficiencies. Implemented a post job deconstruct meeting to document the lessons learned and allow management to understand the hows & whys of the things that went both right and those things that went wrong, thus allowing the company to estimate, engineer and plan better on similar future projects. When I started with Mitternight the company had no planning system, no logic driven, resource loaded schedule, no real time shop loading and no reporting functions to manage the projects.

Responsible for the integration of multiple system schedules (106) to display a workable flow process in a master integrated schedule format to provide the client (DOD) with a well-constructed CPM production schedule (over 97,000 activities/164,000+ relationships). Oversee the development of the individual system schedules to ensure proper detailed work scope development, system maturity milestone requirements, code structure & work breakdown structure compliance and logic assignments (using both Gantt and PERT networks extensively) to meet company expectations of an integrated master production schedule. Create/develop project execution plans and schedules to forecast completion dates and resource requirements, to identify critical path activities or deliverables and to integrate the deliverables of all resources involved. Maintain project reports on a daily basis to support management in decision making in both execution and recovery scenarios. Responsible for maintaining the current routine reliability/maintenance system. Accountable for providing refinery maintenance crews with planned, preventive & corrective maintenance work. Provide weekly plans for maintenance crews and all supporting contractors, on site material and equipment to ensure a flawless execution of the work. Team player in the evolution of the routine reliability work process system, through the use of schedule attainment, manpower forecast and leveling of resources to ensure a constant work load and execution the of planned work.

Responsible for the development, creation, and full utilization of project schedules for all ship repair jobs (as many as 19 projects within 6 months). Gathered, reviewed, and analyzed the specifications to ensure all requirements are met. Allocate budget/cost from the assigned estimate and balanced resources (man power, material, subcontractors & equipment) to achieve a schedule that meets or exceeds the contract time frame.
