About Decha Cullen
I'm a recent Denver Publishing Institute graduate interested in pursuing editing. Additionally, I'm working toward attaining a Master's of Professional Creative Nonfiction Writing through the University of Denver with plans to graduate in 2022. Currently, I'm also an Editorial Intern with Yard Time Publishing.Since September 2019, I've worked as a Writing Coach at Tarrant County College-Trinity River (TCC-TR), where I've honed my editing skills and collaborated on developing three educational programs for different levels of students. One such project was an instructional video on APA stylistics for TCC-TR's thriving nursing student community. However, my labor of love has been implementing the Write On! program, a series of creative writing workshops aimed at improving student relationships with writing, reading, and learning. The Write On! program is focused on improving literacy rates and amplifying children's voices from underrepresented groups within the Fort Worth, TX community.Most of my creative writings are personal essays and memoirs, but my reading tastes also include young adult fiction, contemporary fiction, and historical fiction.Reach out to me if you're interested in writing, reading, or education.
