The NCCM was an Educational Resource Center and Premier Speakers Bureau for Crisis Management and Traumatic Stress. The National Center for Crisis Management offered workshops, presentations and seminars by professionals, across disciplines, who aimed to assist others before, during and in the aftermath of a crisis. The Center was established in collaboration with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress—an association that sought to increase awareness of the effects of traumatic events and, ultimately, improve the quality of intervention for survivors. NCCM's primary mission was to enable all caregivers to look beyond physical and safety needs, and to also address emergent psychological needs.

The AAETS was a multidisciplinary network of professionals committed to the advancement of intervention for survivors of trauma. The membership included individuals from over 200 professions in the health-related fields, emergency services, criminal justice, forensics, law, business and education. The Academy established standards for professionals, across disciplines, who regularly worked with survivors of traumatic events (i.e., Board Certification programs). With Members in every state of the United States and over 58 foreign countries, the Academy had become the largest organization of its kind in the world.

A private firm that offered psychological evaluation and psychotherapeutic intervention with survivors of accidents, crime, personal injury and serious illness. Divisions of LIPA included Mental Health Document Review and The Institute for Attentional Disorders.
