• Responsible for building and executing a worldwide business program, creating and managing large scale business opportunities with large printing and enterprise customers. Deals include end-to-end solutions around Indigo digital presses/ supplies/ services, as well as consulting, integration and other services, working cross functionally in the organization, including sales, marketing, R&D, operations, finance and others.• The program consistently over achieved in revenues, Gross Margin, and growth rate, and provided significant business realizing multi million dollar deals with leading customers, of hardware/ software as well as annuity revenues. Currently, this program is responsible for more than 30% of the Indigo $1.4B business, coming from very few of the Indigo customers, with a growing share year-over-year. • Member of the Indigo Global Business Unit management team, which is responsible for leading and managing this ~$1400M growing business unit.
• Being the worldwide center point for the Indigo division business, part of HP, facilitated the $300M business process between the division and the worldwide sales regions, with responsibilities for worldwide sales and marketing tools, and business planning/ monitoring/ reporting.• Led the cross HP/ IPG (Imaging & Printing group) drupa Program, which took place in May ’04, the “Olympics” of this market, in which hp has demonstrated leadership in commercial printing. This $9M Program included overall aspects of planning, strategy, objectives setting, messaging, marketing tools, sales, operations, budget, and managing a worldwide team. The program exceeded all goals, achieving $45M worldwide sales (30% above plan), lead generation of 25% above plan, and 10% below budget target.
Leading worldwide business initiatives for the Indigo division, as well as being part of the worldwide management of the division and also the focal point for business integration of Indigo into hp. Main achievements: • Business leadership with our top customers worldwide – analysis, identification of potential, and actions, resulting in an overall 40% increase in print volume (vs. a goal of 15% volume growth).• Worldwide leadership of the “Competition Attack” program – a sales program aiming at converting to hp customers who purchased from competition. Results were sales of $20M worldwide, with Gross Margin at 20% above plan.• Leadership of a business activity to accelerate sales in Europe – after alarming slow sales in 2002, a change management activity to transform the organization towards high-end sales to high-end customers. Results were sales of $33M, with Gross Margin at 30% above plan, and a complete refocus of the team towards up-sale of the right products to the right market segments.
• Led the OEM business with hp, creating the infrastructure for sales, marketing and customer support for hp in the commercial printing markets. Sales results were per plan. • Member of Indigo’s worldwide management, and of the small team which dealt with hp on the acquisition of Indigo. • Following the announcement of the acquisition in Sept 2001, I led business integration of Indigo into hp.
• Responsible for Indigo’s worldwide strategic marketing activities including Product Marketing, MarCom, PR, Partners’ relationship and other. • Part of Indigo’s worldwide management which transformed the company from crisis to success, and of the small core team which worked with hp on the three stages of strategic relationship (technology/ business evaluation during 1999-2000, OEM relationship during 2000, full acquisition Sept 2001).
Responsible for all Product Marketing activities, current and future products, planning internal and external activities. I was also the marketing focal point for all contacts between the field forces and Indigo’s Israeli activities. Member of Indigo Israel management team, and of Indigo’s worldwide marketing team.
I was responsible for all marketing aspects in Indigo’s emerging 2nd market, Packaging:• Established Indigo’s worldwide marketing activities in this market segment• Targeted the salesforce towards highest potential applications.• Created and managed business activities and strategic alliances with companies like 3M, Mobil Plastics, Avery Dennison, Dupont, and others.
• Managed distributor sales in Japan and other Far East countries – selected and signed distributors, and directed their activities. Sales in the territory during the first 3 quarters of 1995 were more than $60M, meeting targets.• Managed the company’s 3 product lines, including market analysis, business planning, product definition, setting products specifications, product launch activities, sales tools and marketing interfaces.• Initiated and managed strategic alliances with companies like Adobe, AT&T, EFI, & others.• Led the marketing aspects of the company’s private placement in 1993, and IPO in 1994.• Managed the first product launch (which was also the company’s launch), that achieved worldwide recognition and established the company’s brand as the market leader.
In a concurrent effort of R&D and marketing, a leading, state of the art, electronic color press was developed. Seeking applications and markets with a high growth rate, and high barrier to entry, I was responsible for the marketing and product definition, the first marketing employee.
I was in charge of the definition, development, productization and support of a new system for various Engineering Graphics applications, with a first product for Printed Circuit Boards Photo-tooling. Achievements included:• Development and launch of a leading product in the market• On-time deliveries per aggressive plans• First year sales exceeding $10M, mainly in Japan
I was in charge of the continuing development of the RESPONSE-300 system, including applications definition, development plans setting, and configuration definition. The product, the flagship of the company, was a computerized system for the publishing industry. I was directly in charge of the system engineering and application software development. Before that, I was the system engineer of that project, responsible for system H/W and S/W integration, configuration definition, and application support
