My career has focused on an inclusive, multi-disciplinary approach to the study of the subsurface with broad experience and strong contributions in project consulting, technical services, exploration, asset development teams, and implementing actionable research results. Earlier in my career, I enjoyed great mentor ship in concepts underlying the practices of geostatistics and geomodeling. I believe it is important to be a resource to help grow integration of geological data analytics, geomodeling and geostatistics to raise the bar. A mission of mine is to close the gap between these actionable methodologies, the software tools and the appropriate practice of the techniques. This is why I convened and chaired three international conferences entitled "Closing the Gap - Advances in Applied Geomodeling for Hydrocarbon Reservoirs", held in 2011, 2014 and 2018. The goal is to grow the focus on geomodeling best practices which are not established in our industrySpecialties: Applied geostatistics, geomodeling and subsurface data analysis; reservoir characterization for hydrocarbon reservoirs, advisor, trainer, and pro-active problem solver. Experience provides me with the ability to communicate across disciplines, to define relevant tasks for integrated studies, teams and appropriate technologies for success. A strength is implementing project team workflows for conventional and research problems as actionable solutions in an open, collaborative mannerExperiences: Field studies in North and South America, North and West Africa, Middle East; faulted and compartmentalised reservoirs onshore and offshore, gas, oil and oilsands reservoirs. New technology developments and assessment. Studies in mining resource assessment

Geomodeling Specialist, R&DStatoil Canada Jan 2010 - Oct 2014Calgary, Canada AreaChallenging Reservoirs Team, Heavy Oil Technology Centre (HOTC), Unconventionals R&D & Innovation. Research role in an applied R&D reservoir characterization team.• Team Added $100MM NPV to the portfolio. Constructed geomodels adapted to in-situ extraction technologies for marginally economic oilsands reservoirs. Incorporated 3D seismic geobodies and dipping lateral accretion beds. Specific customization was applied to saturation trend modeling and effective permeabilities for distinct rock types in the thermal simulator. Peer reviewed paper published.• Electrofacies studies were performed with EasyTrace as a formal Technology Development Plan to advance methods to predict facies/rocktypes using guided machine learning. Documented recommended best practices. The methods were applied to assets and analogue fields. Potential to save $500M/yr in coring.• Coordinated a multi-scale permeability study to improve inputs to geomodels with image logs. Carried out in collaboration with the Centre for Computational Geostatistics, U of Alberta. Geomodeling Tech Corp’s SBED was tested. Yielded appropriately scaled P-field models of effective permeability for each depo-facies used in the geomodels. Peer reviewed Paper was published• Developed scope, tested code and collaborated on development of Pad Placement + Well Pair Drainage Optimization technology from the CCG. Identified new criteria and constraints to optimize SAGD developments and subsequently transferred to teams for 3 assets.• Provided reservoir characterization and analytics assistance to an asset team to define workflow practices, and update petrophysical practices to improve bitumen evaluation. Implemented tools for stochastic model post-processing, connected net bitumen pay, SAGDable volumetrics, ranking realizations, uncertainty analysis • Provided Public and in-house training on Geomodeling and Geostatistics. -
