I am excited to announce that I have joined the World Bank as a consultant on a critical climate governance project. Many countries are challenged with effective vertical and horizontal coordination within their governments when implementing climate policy. In my new role, I will be leveraging my expertise in politics and good governance to identify best practices and analyze effective coordination mechanisms across diverse country contexts. We will develop robust policy recommendations that enhance the implementation of climate policies at national and sub-national levels while still considering the unique contexts of each country.

Managing all media and communications related to the Chindwin Biodiversity Ecosystems Project which looks at how local communities lives are impacted by changes to the environment as a result of development. Drafting a photostory on threats to Chindwin ecosystem services. The photostory transforms a complex & heavy subject into something visual, to increase awareness among the general public about developmental threats in the Chindwin river basin. Editing a film on the Chindwin basin with Adobe Premier Pro. Designing infographics with Adobe Illustrator.Others:Used pivot charts on Excel to visualise data for the organisation’s annual report.Conducting a literature review on climate adaptation projects with a gender theme.Participated in a workshop by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) titled ‘Migration and Women’s Land Tenure Rights and Security in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region’.

Manage an Editorial and Operations team of over 80 people to ensure the efficient running of IGNITE. Improved internal processes for both operations and editorial teams. Organising head for IGNITE Industry Training Weekend (IITW) two years in a row. Conceptualised IITW. Wrote articles on the side on issues I am passionate about. Trudged the News, Politics and Environmental beat, hoping to uncover the next Watergate.

Worked in events management and workshop training roles. Liaised with and managed the vendors, artists and workshop organisers for the ninth iteration of the annual KL Eco Film Festival. Drafted and managed the schedule for workshops. Managed the EcoKnights Facebook page. Helped to run Anugerah Hijau (a camp to teach school children environmental sustainability). Coordinated with external NGOs like WWF, Greentech Malaysia, Penang Green Council, Poptani etc for events. Ran workshops on making seedbombs and composting. Represented EcoKnights at the Heart of Borneo Youth Conference in Brunei.

Chartered a Toastmasters club in my university.

Wrote copy for various visual advertisements for corporate clients such as banks and Redbull GmbH. Came up with taglines for clients. Brainstormed concepts for marketing strategies for clients. Filmed and edited videos to promote the agency. Crafted a Facebook marketing strategy for the agency.
