About Daniel Liden

I’m a designer with a passion for materials. For me, materials and processes are an endless source of inspiration and innovation, as well as a fundamental component of sustainable, beautiful and relevant product design. With more than fifteen years’ experience of independent design consultancy work, as well as working in and leading global design teams, I have learnt invaluable lessons about applying design strategy as a means to unify and strengthen brands, in addition to cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure the highest level of design and manufacturing quality at every price pointSince 2016, I have worked with Chris Lefteri and his team on a wide range of projects for leading brands across different industries and markets, always with a special focus on sustainability and material innovation. In addition to my work with Chris, I founded Better Things in 2021 as a way to explore and experiment with progressive ideas and approaches to circular design. Amongst other things, this has led to Better Things, the book, published by Laurence King in early 2024 and available in design and architecture book stores and online.
