The Global Omnichannel Demo Team is responsible for the full end-to-end demo of the Oracle Retail suite of products. Although when I joined the team I was focused mainly on Oracle Commerce (the legacy ATG platform), my responsibilities expanded to mobile applications and integration with the rest of the Retail stack.• Continued development on the Consumer Mobile demo app, and completely redesigned and rewrote the in-store Associate Mobile demo app• Developed a number of tools for virtual machine monitoring and full stack environment monitoring and reporting• Managed the development infrastructure for the team, including source control, bug reporting, and various custom monitoring solutions• Moved the team off of Amazon’s tech stack onto a custom VPS solution for better speed, stability, and lower cost

Starmount is a leading provider of in-store mobility solutions for retailers. In addition to having a variety of customer-facing engineering responsibilities, including C-level selling, I’ve implemented a number of sales engineering processes that were not in place before I arrived. Specific responsibilities include:• Understand at a deep level the architecture of both in-store and enterprise products• Present solutions based on our product to prospective customers• Investigate new technologies that might be leveraged to improve the base product• Act as the technical point-of-contact with the customer for all pre-sales activities• Customize the iOS product demo to personalize for each potential client• Create prototype iOS application to help visualize product architecture• Work with Product Management to determine potential new features for the product• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to create sales presentation materials

The Oracle Retail Point-of-Service platform (formerly 360Commerce Point-of-Sale) is a Java-based, widely adopted platform and is used by some of the biggest retailers in the world, including Gap, The Home Depot, and PepBoys. In this role, I was tasked not only with customer-facing responsibilities, but also internally, with working with other Oracle product teams to develop POCs.• Participated in all phases of the sales cycle, including responding to RFPs/RFIs• Created prototype integrations with other Oracle products• Developed internal tools to assist functional Sales Consultants in demo configuration• Created custom modifications of the Java Point-of-Service product for demo purposes

Before moving into the Sales Engineering role, I spent five years working on implementations of the 360Commerce Point-of-Sale product, in every area from customer support to working with the customer to develop new functionality in the product. I also acted as technical lead for a new product we were implementing for PepBoys.• Customized retail management applications written in Java and JSP• Worked on several successful implementations, including PepBoys and Fedex Kinko’s• Developed architecture, integration, analysis, and design documents• Led a group of 8-10 developers and mentor less experienced developers

I joined Excite@Home shortly after the merger between Excite and @Home Network, and worked with the Network Operations team on a new (at the time) technology to surface online/offline status for each user.• Designed and developed various client apps for a client-server Instant Messaging service• Assisted the Server Operations Center in monitoring Excite products and services• Worked with Engineering to ensure that standards for product monitoring were followed

Acuity WebCenter was one of the first applications for chatting online with a customer service representative. I worked on both client and server side, and with the documentation team to create user manuals.• Developed client and server technologies to integrate with Acuity WebCenter CRM• Implemented a Java client app for system access• Worked closely with the server team to assure tight integration between client and server
