My career path into the graphics industry was probably preordained, as both my grandfathers were in advertising and my father was a graphic designer. My high school and college notebooks were more full of drawings than notes, and art projects from my childhood take up volumes of otherwise useful shelf and wall space at my dad’s house to this day. My home office in Norwalk, CT is splattered with my photos, posters, drawings, and some awards I’ve received for them. I started doing paste-up and mechanicals at age 16, and my first job out of college was doing exactly that. While at that job “desktop publishing” was just becoming a thing, and I quickly moved into the audio-visual department, becoming manager of the department making slides on the computer within a few months. I then worked with my father at his graphic design business in Westport, CT before starting my own company, Lindsay New Media, LLC, in 2000 when he retired. My latest venture, an add-on to Lindsay New Media, began in 2015 and is called Advanced Photograhpix – a photography business focusing (pun intended!) on Architectural Photography. A keen eye for detail combined with my expert Photoshop skills and impeccable customer service give me a competitive edge and a roster of happy clients. My professional expertise includes a long list of artistic and musical endeavors, including animator, audio editor, cartoonist, copy writer, graphic designer, drummer, illustrator, photographer, videographer, and web designer. Creativity energizes me, and I’m extremely grateful to be lucky enough to make a living doing what I love.
