Dr. Lischner also cofounded Valant, an Electronic Health Record company for private practice behavioral health practices, with the purpose of improving clinical outcomes for patients and business outcomes for clinician owners and their staff. Valant is a market leader in the private practice mental health market and is renowned for its support for evidence-based workflows and in particular, automation of outcome measurement to support measurement-based care. Dr. Lischner grew Valant from idea to market leader by building a differentiated product designed for mental health clinicians and delivering it through a workplace distinguished by its uniquely healthy culture and high-performing leadership team. Dr. Lischner completed medical school and psychiatry Residency training at the University of Washington School of Medicine where he was chief resident and now continues as a member of the clinical faculty. Since leaving Valant in 2021, he has consulted with a variety of investors in health technology and services.
