I teach and develop courses in composition and literature including "Writing for the Web," "Grant and Proposal Writing," "Introduction to English Studies," "First-Year Composition," and "Advanced Technical Writing." I have served in a number of administrative positions including Academic Dean for the Commonwealth Honors Academy, Interim Director of the Racer Writing Center, Interim Director of the MFA program, and Coordinator of First-Year Composition and Professional Writing.

As a freelance content developer, I research and write for websites focusing on health, science, and medicine. Topics include healthy eating and lifestyles, medical specialties, gastric surgery, breast implants, cataracts and eye health, and drug addiction. These articles are targeted to the general reading public interested in increasing their knowledge about health and wellness.

As a master tutor and instructor, I was certified to teach (P)SAT, SAT, ACT, LSAT, GRE, and MCAT (verbal reasoning and writing) and worked out of the Cleveland, Ohio office. I tutored students one-on-one and taught in small class settings with no more than 20 students. As a test preparation instructor, I had the ability to assist students in strengthening their critical thinking and writing skills while giving them control of the test material.

As a graduate student at Case Western Reserve University, I developed and implemented syllabi for college students in technical communications, general composition studies, and literary studies and interpretation (themes include "Revolutionaries as Writers" and "Literature of the Outsiders"). I also served as the Assistant to the Director of Graduate Studies from 2008-2011.

I designed and implemented an intensive, three-week syllabus for junior high and high school honors students in two classes: Persuasion and Debate: Globalization (2007) and Journalism (2008).

As a student assistant in the Career Center at Nebraska Wesleyan, I organized the annual Lend-A-Hand-to-Lincoln service day for incoming students, placing more than 350 students in the community for the day. I was also responsible for maintaining files and pairings for classes that utilized the service learning program.
