Heading Adani Global Mining Services; engaged in Mine Planning & Design, Mine Infrastructure design and engineering, Project Delivery, Project and Budget Controls, Performance Management, Coal Processing, Business Excellence, Continuous Improvement programs, Mine Automation and ICT. Support to Operations Management, M&A, Business Development, Techno Commercial, Strategic Alliances, Autonomous Haulage Systems, and Remote Operations.

Responsible for development of properties and tenements to production stage; upgrading of existing capital investments; evaluating new business opportunities; evaluating new technology for its application to operations; evaluating major capital upgrades in operations; developing mining policy and technology; Head of both opencast and underground $5 billion mine project. Mine Operator under Coal Mine Safety and Health Act.

2006 to Nov 2010: Singareni Collieries, India: Director of Planning and Projects which is the most senior management position within the organization reporting to Chairman and Managing Director and member on Board of the company. Responsibility as owner for the coal mines under Mines Act. Was responsible for achieving the company’s strategic and financial outcomes having decision making authority over Coal exploration, project planning and management, capital budgeting, coal mining to coal production through several direct reports who are functional General Managers in various technical and engineering disciplines

2000 to 2004: Singareni Collieries, India: Prior to taking up this position, held various positions in the company over 20 years as Mine Manager of large opencast and underground coal mines, General Manager for group of coal mines and headed departments of strategic planning. From 2002, as General Manager of Corporate Planning and Projects, responsible for designing medium term and long term planning for the company operations, identification of coal mining reserves, heading the functions of exploration, mine survey, project planning, project implementation and management.2004 to 2006: Singareni Collieries, India: Chief General Manager of Corporate Planning, Projects and Business Development; responsible for designing medium term and long term planning for the company operations, identification of coal mining reserves, heading the functions of exploration, mine survey, project planning, project implementation and management. Also responsible for development of new business for the company in allied areas of coal mining including mining services. During this period, worked as head of coal mining discipline of the company.
