These lessons assist in teaching students and teachers about the Wind River Reservation. Interviews with elders, educators, business leaders, legislators, and historians will present information about the reservation from their perspective. Project Consultant for the Shoshone Homelands grant, funded through the National Park Service. The focus of this grant was to research and locate Shoshone language and song transcripts, anthropological field notes, recordings of tribal stories, and other historical information to store in a cultural repository for future generations. Documentaries specific to the Wind River Reservation and the Shoshone Tribe have been digitized to assist in promoting interest among the younger generation. Lesson plans will assist classrooms across the state in learning the factual history of the Shoshone people.
