Trained as copy editor (starting with NYU's copyediting course and a staff position at Random House), I became a successful scientific, technical, and medical (STM) copy editor, eventually expanding my editing skills into a copyediting services business, STMC, which provided STM journal copyediting and style guide-creation services. STMC employed eight freelance copy editors. I then transitioned my editing and project management skills into a position as Managing Editor at Virtucom Group. I was in charge of all content-creation e-commerce initiatives and managed approximately 20 full-time copywriters and editors. From 2010 to 2021, I was Director of Courseware at Webucator. During my time at Webucator, I oversaw all course content-creation projects and managed the development of over 100 self-paced courses including video production for each of those courses. I was also involved in a wide range of initiatives and provided customer service and logistics, and trainer and student support.Since February 2022, I have been in my current role as Instructor Manager at ed2go, part of Cengage Learning. I oversee >100 instructors for our Fundamentals and Career Training Program courses. I also work on many cross-team initiatives including working closely with our Product Managers and Content team, serving as a member of a special team for a major update to our user interface, and working as needed with Cengage Work's Ready to Hire program team to name a few.
