To assist operational manager to ensure the project meets agreed start and completion dates of the project. Key AccountabilitiesOperational▪ Conduct pre-spud meetings▪ Conduct pre-cement meetings▪ Hold toolbox meetings with crew▪ Ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with SCD QMS and client requirements▪ Ensure consumables for day to day operations are onsite to ensure shifts run smoothly▪ Identify equipment defects and report to maintenance departments▪ Ensure Rig Manager is informed of any client requirements and any potential issues promptly▪ Submit requests for orders.Drill Site Safety▪ Attend project Risk Assessments▪ Ensure daily drilling activities are undertaken according to Risk Assessment▪ Conduct monthly site audits with OH&S Coordinator▪ Review procedures with drill crew as required▪ Enforce safety culture compliance▪ Ensure safe operating practices for all aspects of the project▪ Act as Site Safety manager until shift handover▪ Ensure all drill site employees have the means to work in a safe and comfortable environmentDrill Site Leadership▪ Train and mentor the driller to ensure compliance with legislative and silver city drilling requirements.▪ Ensure drill crew are aware of fly-in flight-out arrangements and their responsibilities to meet these arrangements▪ Liaise with SCD administration with any requests or considerations with regards to drill crew’s rosters, flight and accommodation bookings before arrangements are made▪ Take responsibility of ensuring drill crew are aware SCD’s expectations of their actions and commitment▪ Implement disciplinary actions as required for drill crews▪ Manage onsite contractors, including those who work directly for client
