CurrentManage and direct the Quality Assurance/Quality Control and Safety activities company wideOrganize, manage, and record minutes of Vanalt Company Safety Committee meetings which consists of addressing personnel and equipment needs for all projects, safety training requirements, job site safety talks, customer safety requirements, product recalls, safety material needs, equipment ergonomics and compliance with EEO requirements and other government regulations.Review contract requirements for all projects and develop project specific Quality Assurance Program Manuals that meet customer and project specific requirements.Review contract requirements for each project and adapt the company’s standard safety manual to the specific needs of that project including railroad workplace safety requirements, roadway worker training, personal protective equipment (PPE), Conduct Safety Orientation Training for new employees. Training includes a safety training video, follow-up discussion on safety requirements and issuing of the required PPE and the company safety manual. Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections, prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures to be implemented and follow up to ensure compliance.Conduct post-accident investigation and prepare report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.Plan, implement, maintain, and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs and records to ensure that employees are retrained timely and kept current with OSHA, SEPTA, PATCO, Amtrak and other safety training requirements.Implement an employee equipment training program and database to ensure that equipment is operated only by personnel who have been trained accordingly.Develop, coordinate, manage and implement the evaluation and upgrading of safety programs and procedures.Coordinate Drug and Alcohol random testing programs.
