I am a nonprofit administrator, educator, and author based at The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation. As Managing Director of Public Programs, I am responsible for creating, developing, and overseeing a wide variety of programming. I also lead the renowned Author Events series, which aims to make the literary world accessible to the Philadelphia community.Before joining the Foundation, I spent three years as an assistant professor at Durham University in the UK. I am a Shakespeare scholar by training—I received my PhD from Princeton and did a postdoc at Harvard—and one of my greatest passions has always been planning high-impact arts and culture events. Whether in the Library or the lecture room, whether working with third graders or advanced undergraduates, my goal is always the same: to make literature as accessible and exciting as possible.
