I have over 20 years of experience in managing systematic investment strategies for institutions and high net worth individuals. I deploy capital using systematic equity strategies and discretionary global macro strategies.In 2019 I founded Ascent Systematic Advisors. Ascent is a specialty asset management firm that leverages cutting-edge technology and data-driven models to deliver consistent and superior risk-adjusted returns.Before launching Ascent, I was the CIO at Argon Capital Management, a multi-asset class, commodity-centric investment firm that I co-founded. Previously, I was a senior portfolio manager at Graham Capital, a leading trend following systematic and global macro hedge fund, where I managed a portfolio close to $1 billion in size. I also have extensive experience in proprietary trading, derivatives structuring, and M&A at Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and other top-tier financial institutions.I hold an MBA with honors from The Wharton School, an MS in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Ecole Polytechnique, and a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering from UPM. I also conducted research on organizational design and at MIT. I am fluent in English, French, and Spanish. I am also a treasurer and board member at Math-M-Addicts, a non-profit organization that supports students' intellectual excellence and problem-solving skills in math.
