The lead of Planetarium Control OperatorsUndertake the operation of planetarium shows for a diverse audience. This includes: giving an introduction to the show by way of a short talk; delivering the show by operation of the control system and answering questions on Astronomy at the end of the show.Liaise with the gallery/planetarium attendant present during the show to ensure the efficient entry of visitors and collection of tickets.Answer inquiries from the public as they arise such as handling customer complains passing more difficult inquiries to other staff members where appropriate. Communicate with other staff to ensure the smooth running of the planetarium.Communicate with the front gate personnel about the number of guests and group tours.Ensure the planetarium health & safety procedures are followed at all times.Carry out occasional routine maintenance/cleaning of planetarium equipment (such as changing projector bulbs).Provide written reports to the superiors of any technical or organizational problems encountered during show operation.Assist in the guidance of the beginners in the correct procedures.
