During my 6 years in the role, I was responsible for the acquisition of events and activities, product and business development and management of the visitor services team and Information Centres. Whilst managing a broad portfolio with a large and diverse team of 14 staff and 80 volunteers, this position was both a rewarding and dynamic experience that positions me well for this role.Key responsibilities for this role included management of relationships, partnerships and contracts with State, Commonwealth and non-Government organisations to maintain and enhance the outcomes for the region. The hosting of the event involved many significant stakeholder relationships with Cycling Australia management and external partners to stage this major 5 day cycling event.In addition to Council event delivery, the role was the primary point of contact for general enquires, providing advice and guidance to externally produced events, promotions, filming and other activities on municipal spaces and venues - Whether a charity, business conference, production companies or major sporting or music events, the role compelled partnerships with key stakeholders such as Victoria Police, VicRoads, CFA and neighbouring local government authorities.
