Danielle worked as an associate attorney representing clients in personal injury cases such as medical malpractice and nursing home abuse & neglect cases. Danielle passionately worked to assure her clients get the best results and the justice they deserve.

Danielle assisted in appellate and post-conviction criminal proceedings through legal research, drafting briefs, and transcript review, for the Cook County Public Defender's Office. Through this experience, Danielle gained extensive exposure to a variety of legal proceedings and courtroom practices.

At the Chicago Appleseed Fund for Justice, Danielle worked as a courtroom observer conducting research regarding courtroom practices. The focus of the research was on the number of indigence hearings that are illegally denied to defendants, preventing the assignment of public defenders. Danielle also works with to compile study participants to be interviewed regarding their observation and experiences with indigence hearings. This research was compiled into a comprehensive report that was used to suggest various policy changes to the City of Chicago and Chicago Police Department to better improve the Criminal Justice System in Chicago.

As a Child Assault Prevention Educator, Danielle was part of a team that provided prevention and intervention based workshops to serve and educate elementary school children on consent, body safety, and self-defense. As a member of the Child Abuse Prevention Project team, Danielle facilitated over 50 workshops in over 12 schools in the four counties RACES serves, impacting the lives of over 800 children in these communities.

Social Ties is an organization Danielle helped cofound and was created through the SSW at UIUC through the course Social Work 321: Social Entrepreneurship and Social Change. Social Ties worked to promote an open and engaging environment through workshops and activities populations at risk of social exclusion. Social Ties aimed to improve the quality of life by providing art therapy programming and creative opportunities and outlets to groups who would otherwise not have access to them. In conjunction with helping lead workshops and programming, Danielle's role was connecting with other established community organizations in which to have co-sponsor the workshops. Her responsibilities included organizing community outreach and expansion, as well working with the rest of my team to create a social media presence.Social Ties' art therapy and team-building programming launched in September of 2015. Social Ties worked with four other community groups, had over 15 workshops, working with over 180 individuals in the community of many different ages and ability statuses.

Danielle created, organized, and hosted sisterhood events and chapter retreats designed to improve and foster and improve interpersonal relationships between members of the organization. Coordinating with the other officers and managing the appropriated budget for event expenses were part of Danielle's responsibilities as Sisterhood Chair.During the entirety of her position, Danielle planned and hosted over 75 sisterhood events with ranging in group size from ten to forty attendees and two retreats with one-hundred attendees. Additionally, she coordinated events with other Greek houses on the UIUC campus and other Sigma Kappa chapters in Illinois.

As a Infant Cognition Lab research assistant and experimenter Danielle helped conduct and record the results of experimental trials with infants and toddlers to learn what these children know about people, objects and animals through different stages of development. During her two semesters working at the lab, Danielle worked over 150 hours conducting experimental trails on the volunteer participants.
