ACM outfits commercial and institutional spaces with cabinetry, reception desks, and unique woodand metalworking pieces. The company had 15 full-time employees, and I wore many hats.· Design engineering, shop drawings, renderings, creating geometry for CNC· Estimating takeoffs and bidding from architectural plans, negotiating contracts, landing sales· Managed production in-house and with manufacturing partners, hired and managed labor· Generated material BOMs and budgets, sourcing, negotiated pricing with vendors· Created a marketing program including collateral, advertisements and a website.· Built strong relationships with architects and owners by speaking the same language (design)· Leveraged those relationships to move the company away from working in a low-bid environment· Doubled the overall sales volume and brought the struggling company back from the brink· By the end of my time there we were able to purchase a new facility and become incorporated

MDesign is a small inventing team that licenses novel, patented mechanisms and toy productsto major manufacturers including Mattel, Hasbro, Radica, SpinMaster and Fisher-Price.· Ideation, modelmaking, illustrations and animations· Creating functioning mechanism through hands-on machining and testing processes· End user research and testing with focus groups· Designing interfaces and scripting the GUI for electronic games· Several toys I worked on were produced by major toy companies, including the TOTY 2011 toyof the year, and Time Magazine’s Top 10 Toys of 2010: “Sing-a-ma-jigs” by Mattel.
