Co FounderRockstar Lifestyle Mar 2014 - PresentAmsterdam Area, NetherlandsManaging the Rockstar Lifestyle business on a day to day basis has been an absolute life changer. I grew as a person, a colleague and as a leader. Growing from a 2 people operation to a 20 people operation has been both challenging and fulfilling. Consult and sell both to clients as well as to candidates. People like to be convinced.4. Business development: expending business as if it was my own. AND maintain relationships, nobody likes to be a hero, a zero, a hero again, maybe become a zero again. From A to ZI started as a trainee at a British/Dutch style sales company. They show you the instruments and the legacy. The rest is up to you. As if you are an entrepreneur within an organization. Just the setting I needed. A balance between learning by doing, taking lots of initiative and hard work. As you become more experienced, obviously, well in my opinion, you start to question certain routine work. I'm the kind of guy who things, maybe this can be done more effective/efficient and cleaver. Armed with a solid proposal towards management, I noticed everything is possible. So, the job is pretty independent as long as you perform. My cup of tea. From day to day you mainly work on getting clients on board and expending your network of candidates. One doesn't mean sh*t without the other.Once clients got on board, my strong suit was loving my clients as if the made my existence possible... Every client likes a consultant who's honest*, straight forward*, knows what he's talking about* and likes to do business*. Sounds pretty obvious, however greed is ones biggest enemy. It implies a lack of long term thinking. I kicked 'it' out while it tried to make a way in. *I love to put my money where my mouth is. Check out my recommendations. Show less -

Both revenue-wise as customer happiness-wise. Since TGC is a platform which is specialized in communication between business towards their followers, this service is not a logical expansion. So why should they add this service? Is this an added value to the expat community? If yes, how can they launch a service like this? And will the expected benefits be in favor of the additional work?Started with field research, did a couple hundred online surveys. Had several interesting meetings with the service provider for VoIP. Reviewed the risks, costs and benefits in a presentation and a detailed report. 'Client' (TGC) happy with the result. Show less -

Simple business model: you join them in a franchise-like coop and pay a monthly fee for using their equipment and client base. Other than that, you're basicly free to do whatever, however, whenever you like.Working leads from both Fitness First and myself, I managed to make a success out of this adventure in only 6 months. After 12 months I had a client base of 15 people, facilitating around 25 hours of personal training. And after more than 2 years of Personal Training, during my studies, I wrapped it up. Major learns- starting and maintaining a small revenue making company: no clients, no revenue, no profits- sell your service, business to consumer: people buy from people- having clients: make and keep them satisfied- basics of accounting- last but not least: designing and facilitating customized work-outs with a smile on your face Show less -
Project ManagerSport2Bfit Feb 2008 - Jun 2008The Hague Area, NetherlandsAs an intern I conducted a market research on brand awareness and reputation among (non)clients for a small privately owned gym in Zoeterwoude. With some help from SPSS, a way too complicated analyzing tool, I managed to make some pretty top notch graphs. From those graphs and with some cleaver thinking I came up with a couple of suggestions, summarized in a consultancy report.
