Took time off to do a train trip through Europe, attempt (not very successfully) to learn some videography skills, and do a few Specialty Coffee Association certifications.

Took full ownership of data strategy, infrastructure, and governance as BibliU scaled from thousands to billions of events.- Hired and managed a team, acting as PM, tech lead, and engineering manager- Configured and owned all analytics infrastructure, including dbt, Snowflake, Quicksight, Stitch, and set up in-app text + image search using Elasticsearch- Met 10-40x avg. yearly increase in data volumes with no major outages on analytics systems- Managed data governance (incl. GDPR transition) via audits, policies, processes, and IaC in Terraform- Trained a cross-functional team of over 15 contributors to democratise dbt access through on-demand training, and saw consistent >75% MAU from staff for internal dashboardsCo-curricular:- Set up and ran numerous mentoring and inclusion programs for the entire company, such as a buddy system, automated anonymous feedback polls and reporting, and D&I sessions- Set up and managed remote team events, from lockdown tea breaks to full-company quizzes, all-engineering Lunch & Learns (50+ sessions), the BibliU book club (3+ years), etc.- As unofficial photographer, took portraits (see above) and photos used in BibliU press coverage and landing pages

Performed data cleaning and machine learning for research projects in the Sports Science faculty using data from the Microsoft Kinect.

Independently built and tested a Java to z/OS interface to replicate DB2 databases, as part of the File Manager product.
