The culmination of the Bio-Initiative Venture (see below), Therillia's mandate is to manage the development of novel drug candidates held by various portfolio companies of Sanderling Ventures. Central to this objective is the deployment of scientific platforms to support the proof of concept strategies by identifying potential responder patient populations, rational drug combinations, and the utility of clinical biomarkers. Worked collaboratively with Sanderling Ventures to form a new business model, coined Bio-Initiative, designed to significantly reduce the time and cost historically associated with drug development. The model resulted in the formation of Therillia Development Company which leverages the expertise of its senior team of drug developers across multiple drug development projects.

Responsible for financing (raised in excess of $120 million of equity and $25 million in debt), contracts, accounting, tax, human resources, information technology and general operations. Successfully sold to Cephalon, Inc. (now Teva Pharmaceuticals) in 2011 for $525 million.

Reported to the CEO and Board of Directors. Primary responsibilities included financing, budgeting, financial statements and oversight of general operations.

Recruited back to the firm to lead a consulting practice for the implementation of management information systems and strategic financial modeling. Managed a portfolio of mid-market audit clients (annual sales up to $250M) providing accounting compliance services.

Recruited out of Price Waterhouse to be the Company’s first CFO to help the owners implement new finance and accounting systems, and procedures required for their rapidly growing business.

Conducted and managed audit, tax and consulting assignments (management information systems and financial modeling) for mid-market clients.
