• Oversee a team of accountants, bookkeepers and administrative staff to ensure efficiency of firm operations.• Preparation of corporate tax returns including C-Corporations (Form 1120), S Corporations (Form 1120-S) and Partnerships (Form 1065).• Preparation of personal income tax returns (Form 1040).• Preparation of quarterly and monthly sales tax returns for various states including New York, Florida, Minnesota, and Connecticut.• Assist in reviews, compilations and audits in conformity with principles set forth by US GAAP for non-for profit entities and various industries including healthcare, auto parts, and real estate development.• Communicate with banks, lawyers, and clients to synchronize efforts to move audits to completion.• Preparation of quarterly payroll tax returns (Form 941’s, NYS-45’s, UCT-6’s) as well as year-end W3’s, W2’s and 940’s.• Produce year end 1099’s and 1096’s for various clientele.• Manage payroll submissions for clients using payroll services through QuickBooks.• Assist clients with personal and corporate tax notices from the IRS and other State tax authorities. • Preparation of monthly reconciliations of client bank accounts and prepared month end closing entries such as payroll and sales journals.• Maintain relationships with clients through weekly or month visits to close out month end, as well as the preparation of reports used internally.
