• Coordinated the team in performing Hazards Functional Safety Analysis for multiple nuclear island buildings: framed the structure of the documents, agreed the contents with the Client, supported the team with technical expertise;• Supported Hinkley Point C project teams in resolving several technical issues through demonstrating successful prevention and/or mitigation of hazard events;• Evaluated applicability of the methodologies for beyond design basis external hazards analysis of Hinkley Point C to Sizewell C: analysed margins available in the design basis, justified practical elimination of scenarios;• Successfully proposed and implemented an optimised approach for defining nuclear safety requirements for about 20,000 protection important components in the requirements management database in a time-efficient manner. The approach was then adopted by the entire team.

RAOS Project:• Produced and reviewed Probabilistic Safety Assessment models and reports and supporting thermal-hydraulic studies, focusing on the modeling of the Level 1 and 2 accident sequences and nuclear island mechanical and I&C systems;• Ensured approval of Failure Tolerance Analysis and its submission to the Authority by coordinating an interdisciplinary team of engineers and providing an interface with the Client, helping to establish and maintain close collaboration;• Developed a detailed thermal-hydraulic dynamic model of Hanhikivi 1 VVER-1200 with the ATHLET code;• Authored multiple licensing documents, including the chapters of Safety Analysis Report, and responded to Authority’s Requests for Clarification.

JSC NIKIET (RDIPE):• Participated in Probabilistic Safety Analysis for internal initiating events and internal hazards (fire, flooding) through performing FMEA and producing master logic diagrams, fault trees and event trees for various reactor designs;• Supported design and on-site operational activities with risk-informed recommendations driven by nuclear safety analysis results;• Developed a code for evaluating a steam generator tube rupture frequency by combining statistical and fracture mechanics methods.
