Country Security Officer
CurrentAdvise the Head of Office in the execution of his/her duties with regards to the safety and security of CoE staff members and premises, in accordance CoE security rules and procedures.Provide security recommendations and support to CoE entities organising events and missions in Ukraine.Participate in regular office staff meetings, provide security briefings and advice to office staff members.Conduct regular and ad hoc security risk assessments and journey planning for CoE staff members.Enforce staff members compliance with CoE security policies, rules and procedures. Report cases of non-compliance to security policies among staff members.Maintain and update country security and contingency plans of the CoE Kyiv Office.Monitor the security situation in Ukraine and provide security analysis, early warnings with the goal of identifying trends that would potentially impact CoE staff members, premises and activities in Ukraine.Collect information, provide specific analysis, advice, and support to programme planning and implementation in Ukraine. Initiate building evacuation drills for various threat scenarios.Ensure office staff members are kept informed of matters affecting their security and the actions to take in the event of an emergency.Implement security rules, procedures and mitigating measures according to the local context.Report and follow up on security incidents among CoE staff membersDraft/update Standard Operating Procedures adapted to the local contextMaintain safety and security equipment of the CoE office in coordination with the building management and other service providers.Establish and maintain a database on security incidents affecting CoE staff members, premisses and missions in Ukraine.Provide regular briefings and activity reports to the Division of Safety and Security in CoE HQ.Participate in regular meetings with DSS HQ and perform any other security and safety related task deemed necessary for the office.
