Graduate of the Physics and Technology Department of the Ural State University, specializing in nuclear reactors and power plants. More than 20 years of experience in the field of ecology, radioecology, and radioactive waste management issues. Visited tens of nuclear plants and facilities in Russia, including floating NPP at Chucotka and the North Pole on Nuclear icebreaker, and besides this at Chornobyl, Ignalina, and BN-350 (if you know what I mean). As a journalist/expert/lecturer/publicist/Youtuber for more than 15 years talked to a broad audience in media, blogs, and face-to-face on various issues related to nuclear energy.I am strongly against Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Putin's regime. Left Russia in 2022 with my wife and two kids. I am currently working as a Nuclear Energy Advisor at the Bellona Foundation, or rather at the Bellona Environmental Transparency Center in the Vilnius office.In 2021, being shortlisted for the federal award «For Loyalty to Science» for popularizers of science in the category «popularization of the nuclear industry».
