I love my job. Now, even on vacation, I can’t rest for a long time. If I can’t write some code, I’ll definitely find literature or a programming course, otherwise I’m not comfortable. But it was not always so.The fact is that for a long time I worked as an engineer in construction. And programming was just one of my hobbies along with investments and trading, quadcopter flights, electronic music writing, brewing and more. The decision to change my career path did not come immediately, it gradually grew and at some point I realized that it was time to act. Then I just left the work of an engineer (fairly well paid) to nowhere. The whole next year from 9 to 21 I had a new job at home - I studied books on programming, looked at courses and various video lessons, was engaged in programming small training projects to solve my current problems.For example, I had a need to analyze my trading accounts and I wrote a small site for this. Three months later, the site was bought by one well-known Russian portal dedicated to the Forex market, but did not begin to develop it by some reason I don`t know. But after some time for the same customer I fulfill an order to develop another site, but that's another story.After I felt more or less confident, I began to take small tasks on freelance.It lasted for six months, and then I began to look for a permanent job, which did not last long - at the first interview I got a job as a junior developer. I remember how I was worried at my first interview in my new career, but everything turned out well.Today I work in a wonderful company B2B-Center included in the Forbes rating of “20 most expensive Runet companies” as a middle developer.And I'm grateful to my last job as an engineer, because it was so boring for me that it changed my life for the better.
