For the last 13 years I've been combining the following roles:EngineerScientistProgrammerUniversity professorLifelong learner and bloggerAs an engineer and scientist I was engaged in radiation testing of microelectronics for space applications for 13 years. I've made hundreds of experiments and have written dozens of scientific papers (about 20 of them are indexed in Web Of Science and Scopus). I have a PhD degree in technical sciences.As a programmer I automated the above-mentioned engineer's chores by creating a large desktop application (C#/.NET + Windows Presentation Foundation + Task Parallel Library + a lot of 3rd party libraries) with more than 200k lines of code. I developed this application for more than ten years and it's the work that I'm really proud of.As a university professor I taught students a number of different things: C/C++, x86 Assembly language, AVR microcontrollers (both in C/C++ and AVR assembly language), history of computer technologies. I've made two online video courses in English (https://openedu.ru/teacher/2785/). My students and I have made several electronic devices based on AVR microcontrollers most interesting of which were a stepper motor controller and a digital input-output board. I may say that I know AVR programming quite well including all AVR peripherals.Presently, working as an R&D engineer at Synopsys, I deal mostly with static code analysis tools.I love to learn new things in programming and since the beginning of pandemic I've passed 30+ online courses. I've always had a big passion to learn low-level computer graphics programming (OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX). I also took some courses on UE4 and Blender. I write in my blog about the things I learn.
