Future Materials and Devices Research Lab.Spearheaded the synthesis and characterization of diamond nanomembranes for electronic applications. Engineered Schottky and p-n junction diodes using advanced photolithography, etching, and deposition techniques, contributing to two patents. Achieved significant advancements in diamond-based semiconductor technology, enhancing device performance and reliability.• Fabricated p-type polycrystalline diamond membranes, then made planar and vertical Schottky diodes using a photolithography method, ICP-RIE plasma and wet chemical etching to separate and undercut membranes, transferred by PDMS to foreign substrates, deposited Schottky and Ohmic contacts with E-beam evaporator (PVD) and sputtering system (PECVD).• Fabricated p-type single crystal diamond membranes and p-n junction diodes using hydrogen ion implantation with following thermal annealing, transferred membranes by PDMS on n-type Ga2O3, deposited Ohmic contacts with E-beam evaporator (PVD).• Characterized membranes and diodes using SEM, profilometers, Raman, EDX, AFM, UV-Vis to calculate the optical band gap, XPS to calculate the electrical band gap, I-V-T for TLM calculations of Rcontact, Rsheet, ideality factor, Schottky barrier height, C-V to calculate Vbi, as the result constructed the band alignment diagrams of Schottky and p-n junction diodes to estimate rectifying capability of devices.• Demonstrated commercial diamond nanomembranes applications for stuck integrated heat dissipation layers for other electronic devices. Demonstrated diamond applications for bio flexible electronics, photo- electrochemical cells, nanophotonics, MEMS, high power and high frequency electronics for satellite communications.
