I am passionate about science and innovation. I believe that the positive changes in everybody’s life on this planet can be made predominant only with the new technologies implementation.I started studying physics at Belarus State University and graduated with a PhD in plasma physics from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. During my time in academia I’ve done a lot of hands-on experimental research in plasma physics for different applications - generation of a high voltage and high current electron or ion beams, space propulsion, thin films deposition, and decontamination. Once, we thought we had discovered an exotic fusion reaction, but investigating it deeper we found a more realistic explanation for the energetic particles emission - a good PRL paper was published. Some of my publications are devoted to plasma diagnostics and modelling.In 2009, I moved to Italy where I spent 5 years doing R&D in the field of thin film plasma deposition. At that time, together with my friends I started a software development business in Belarus – ITS Partner LLC. For ITS Partner I build relationships with overseas clients and I’m responsible for the company’s growth strategy. The company’s headcount has expanded from 6 to more than 200 employees in just a few years.In 2014, I moved to Oxford, UK and founded Plasma App. Starting from a pure idea, I have built the first working prototype working alone in six months. Then, with the expanding team, we have optimized the first prototypes performance multiple times and developed the technology up to TRL5. Now I’m working closely with Cambridge, Oxford, and Southampton Universities and several industrial partners to make this platform technology available for industrial implementation. Outside work I’m systematically powerlifting, boxing, and swimming. And after all, I'm a husband with >20 years’ experience and father of a Berkeley student.
