In August 2022 Dmytro became a partner focusing on strategy and business development at Ukrainian startup AeroDrone, which is specialized in design and development of heavy lifting, long range, and high endurance unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Its planes have been designed as multifunctional unmanned aerial platforms for cargo delivery, reconnaissance.

Upon Kyivstar acquisition of Helsi - the largest medical information system and leading provider of digital medical services in Ukraine, Dmytro was appointed as a member of its Supervisory Board in September 2022. Helsi is servicing more than 23 million patients and 1,300 public and private clinics in Ukraine.

Since January 2020 Dmytro Shymkiv serves as non-executive independent Supervisory Board Member of Kyivstar, the largest telecom operator in Ukraine, part of the international telecom group VEON listed on NASDAQ and Euronext stock exchanges.

Since July 2019 Dmytro serves as non-executive independent Supervisory Board member of the Ukrainian Startup Fund, state pre-seed and seed fund for early-stage technological start-ups, largest angel investor in Ukraine.

During September 2018 – June 2022 Dmytro Shymkiv was Executive Chairman of Darnitsa Group, management company of the “Pharmaceutical Firm “Darnitsa”. Darnitsa is well recognized pharmaceutical company in Central and Eastern Europe, an absolute market leader by volume and value in Ukraine with double digit sales growth, high EBITDA margins and strong cash.

From July 2014 until August 2018, upon invitation from the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Dmytro Shymkiv served as the Deputy Head (Deputy Chief of Staff) of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine and was appointed as Secretary of the National Reforms and Investment Councils to the President of Ukraine. He was responsible for reforms.

Since May 2009 until July 2014, as General Manager of Microsoft Ukraine, Dmytro Shymkiv has successfully led Microsoft Ukraine from the recession towards a new growth across all product groups and customer segments, as well as developed new business opportunities.Under Dmytro’s leadership, Ukrainian office was repeatedly named one of the top-performing.

Dmytro joined Microsoft in 2007 as Enterprise and Partner Group Director and in this capacity grew the enterprise business by more than 60 percent year over year.
