Working on nearly every aspect of car2go Android app in a team of 5 Android engineers. Most interesting challenges being:- Adapting app to work with legacy and new vehicles at the same time which relied on completely different technologies (i.e. HTTP for legacy, MQTT for new vehicles).- Authoring AnyMaps library which allowed app to be ported on Chinese stores as well as Blackberry by seamlessly switching between Google Maps, Open Street Maps and Baidu maps without the need to change anything in the product code.- Rewriting legacy rental flow in a reliable way, introducing integration tests to the team along the way.- Creating in-house A/B testing framework.

Leading two teams with a different focus:- Android team (3 people) focused on Scanbot application and Scanbot Android SDK products.- Computer Vision team (1 person) focused on libraries for document recognition and image enhancement (i.e. SEPA transfer forms, US cheques, credit cards, etc.)

Working on:- Scanbot application for Android. Document scanner app with heavy focus on camera, data management (zero-knowledge sync between devices) and CPU and memory intensive operations (such as OCR and image processing). Built from ground up, reaching Top Developer rank in Google Play at that time.- Scanbot SDK for Android. Paid SDK which allowed our consumers to integrate document scanning experience into their apps. Built from ground up, reaching commercial success.- doo Document App for Android. Aggregator of documents from multiple clouds/sources (Dropbox, Gmail, GDrive, etc.). Joined in the middle of the development before app went live. Main challenge is offline mode capable of handling search by relevance though 5000+ entries in the SQLite database, which was a challenge for the mobile devices of that time.

Worked as a contractor (on behalf of Scanbot company) on car2go app.- Introduced team to code reviews and testing practices and facilitated its adoption.- Built multiple Material-design components (i.e. ripples, bottom sheets, FAB) to support new redesign long before they were added to the compatibility library.- Facilitated reduction of technical debt by introducing RxJava to the team and helping with its adoption.- Introduced concept of Separation of Concerns which was badly needed in the codebase concentrated on Activities and Fragments, solving multiple long-standing bugs.
