In close collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University, I spearheaded the rollout of a pivotal talent acquisition initiative for Innopolis Special Economic Zone. My responsibilities encompassed strategic planning and marketing, faculty recruitment, educational programme development, fundraising and operations management. Through collaborative efforts of the Board of Trustees, we were able to raise $25M in private funding and secure a $130M government investment for campus development. For a newly established university, an exceptional achievement was attracting 20,000 applicants in its first student recruitment campaign to select only 400 top students for its 4 Bachelor and 4 Master programmes.

Under my leadership, Unium has grown from a small exam preparation school to a network of 72 private education centres, offering over 100 different courses in 16 subjects to children of all ages. By 2012, Unium had 1,000+ teachers serving 20,000+ students annually from 2,500 middle and high schools in several cities. The company's success is down to its early career development programme. Unium has built an employer brand that attracts only the best talent from the country's top 20 universities. Each candidate is selected from around 10 applications based on their potential and hard skills, namely the level of knowledge in a particular subject area. All candidates must complete a set of proprietary courses to develop their teaching, communication and leadership skills, and rotate through several roles within the organisation.In 2004, Unium became renowned as one of the first educational organisations in the world to adopt digital technology, implementing Employee Learning and Knowledge Management, CRM and ERP systems that were largely developed in-house.

Reporting directly to the Rector of Russia's #1 university, I contributed to its development and financial sustainability. MIPT (informally known as PhysTech) stands out for its unique educational approach, based on early involvement of students in research and boosting their careers by connecting them with leading scientists. My role entailed the coordination of the efforts of various university units to develop projects and apply for university development grants, resulting in over 500 million rubles (~$20 million USD) in additional public funding. Additionally, I was responsible for purchasing management and organising supplier tenders, while ensuring timely project delivery.
