An enjoyable role reporting into the Brand Controller where I managed the day-to-day running of a fast-paced POS studio whilst always staying close with a hands-on approach to projects when required. The role included management of direct reports with 121 sessions and quarterly reviews. I also managed the workflow of one of the UK’s largest home improvement retailers.I was responsible for booking freelance support and maintaining good relationships with the Macsupport and Production companies.I was involved in some big changes to the business with a brand refresh in 2012 and newconcept store openings in Aylesford and Rugby along with support on lorry livery, carrier bag design and staff uniforms.There was lots of change in the 5 years I was at Homebase so I had to adapt and keep theStudio agile and reactive to the aggressive nature of promotions and product refreshes, mostlyby updating processes and implementing streamlined ways of working. I initiated Data Mergeinto the Studio which reduced artworking time significantly whilst making the Studio moreefficient and accurate.

I headed up the artworking team for the Gap Europe design studio. This remit involved all the instore and external marketing and advertising for stores across the UK, France and Ireland. I also implemented a process of streamlining the studio by setting up a database and archiving system which massively helped production and flow of the studio.Clients: Gap adult, Gap Kids, babyGap and Banana Republic.

I was responsible for designing and artworking the DVD sleeves for the Home Entertainment side of this Children’s TV Production Company. The role also involved supporting the marketing and brand teams with ideas and solutions for internal and external presentations.Clients: Bob the Builder, Thomas & Friends, Barney, Fireman Sam, Pingu, The Wiggles, Angelina Ballerina and many more.

I worked in partnership within the marketing department creating concepts and artwork for Titleist, Cobra and FootJoy, the leading golf brands in the US and Europe. My role was to produce POS, packaging and merchandising to high standards across all of the European markets.Clients: Titleist, Cobra and FootJoy.

This more challenging role required meeting clients, taking briefs, initiating concepts and processing them to pre press stage. The variety of work ranged from corporate design to exhibitions. Producing POS, packaging and direct marketing enabled me to utilise all my skills and experience.• Liaise with client from concept design to final sign off. Scan, digital retouch and page layout.Clients: Britannia Music, Orion Locums, Polarwall, Dove Care and Morgan Aston Ford.

I was part of a small team in a busy Soho studio. We specialised in toy design for McDonald’s Happy Meals and produced in-store POS including posters, Happy Meal boxes and the paper inserts to accompany the Happy Meal toy. This position required a close working relationship with the McDonald’s marketing team enabling me to take initial concepts to print ready stage.Clients: McDonald’s, Disney DVD, Caterpillar, Coca-Cola, Sprite and Fanta.
