Responsibilities:• Expert in food manufacturing facilities and distribution center building design; hygienic building design, roofing systems, industrial flooring and finishes and office space planning.• Expert in Building Code and ADA. • Develop preliminary building design and cost estimates, ensuring regulatory and code compliance, hygienic design principles, safety, risk management and building security concepts. • Monitor and support projects to ensure quality, schedule and budget objectives in design and construction are achieved. • Support the factories, distribution centers and project management team with building and site development related issues. • Review and validate civil, structural, architectural drawings and design/build packages generated by internal and/or externals.• Provide technical support to internal and/or external designers, internal Quality, Safety/Health and Environmental groups on building related issues• Create, update, and maintain civil, structural, architectural, hygienic building design standards and guidelines.• Network with other Nestle Companies in the USA, Canada and other markets.• Oversee usage of the Nestle logo on buildings, structures and site. • Participates in the Value Engineering Analysis of projects. • Supervise architectural designers producing drawings for conceptual designs and details. • Ensure proper control and manage discipline and consultant’s costs within the approved budgets. • Assist in selection and coordination of external resources in civil, structural and architectural engineering.
