Consolidated Crump’s Property and Casualty (P&C) into BB&T’s Wholesale P&C insurance company. Added $300M in revenue and created the largest independent wholesale distributor of life insurance in the US.• Managed the transition of MetLife agents into BB&T Insurance Services. Deployed a new call center which provided sales support, underwriting, and brokerage services to MetLife’s financial professionals.• Accelerated BB&T’s expansion into Southeast Florida to sixth in the Miami market. Added 78 Bank Atlantic branches to BB&T’s banking network. Managed data retention and shutdown activities for this initiative.

Upon joining BBT&T's Merger and Acquisition team as a consultant in July of 2012, I worked on both banking (Bank Atlantic) and insurance (Crump Life) merger-related projects.The Bank Atlantic acquisition accelerated BB&T’s expansion into Southeast Florida to sixth in the Miami market. Seventy-eight branches were added to BB&T’s banking network. As a venture-funded start-up in a unique market space, all business application systems were custom built to accommodate the entirety of Connexion’s operational needs. Systems were built on the Open Architecture Community System (OpenACS), which is an open-source web application framework that runs on AOLserver with a PostgreSQL database. We took an Agile approach to system development at Connexion. As the Systems Development Manager charged with delivery and support of all customer-facing systems, I managed development efforts working with internal and external partners and development teams to define, develop and deliver systems needed to automate the delivery of any new customer-oriented product offerings. Some select efforts include:Billing Integration with DirecTVServed as the point of contact in a joint development effort with DirecTV to integrate our billing systems, which allowed us to present a consolidated invoice to any customer that was served by both Connexion and DirecTV. Automated Service DeliveryWorked across various departments including network engineering and field operations to automate the provisioning of Customer Premise and Telecom Equipment to activate data and voice services for customers nationwide. Project TrackingWorked with our Project Management Office to deliver a project tracking system to automate the assignment, tracking and reporting of Key Performance Indicators across the full lifecycle of turning up a Connexion property. This included site design and construction, budgetary oversight, resource allocation, milestone tracking and service activation.
