Improved efficiency and reduced costs by planning and managing infrastructure improvements such as cloud hosting, WAN optimization and network upgrades. Participated in acquisition efforts with focus on IT system integration. Migrated multiple company acquisitions to Epicor Eclipse ERP and led efforts to integrate their processes into Millennium’s business operations.Implemented a hybrid virtualized hosted cloud/on-premises network environment. Designed and implemented custom programs to automate sales order, invoice, and payment transactions between Millennium and an industry trade group. Eliminated manual entry of over 1000 orders per day allowing personnel to be reallocated to other duties and avoid hiring additional staff.Deployed a hosted VOIP phone system to replace an aging PBX. Transformed what would have been a large capital outlay into an operational expense and significantly increased disaster recovery options. The system was a vital communications link when the company moved to a work-from-home environment during the recent pandemic.Managed IT portion of new facility construction and warehouse relocations including communication services delivery, cabling (network, video security, access control, and intrusion alarm), and office layouts.Implemented comprehensive network monitoring and issue resolution to ensure maximum IT resource availability.

-- Led a team of six system administrators supporting 500 users in multiple locations in the U.S., Mexico, Europe, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand for a $125 million manufacturing company. -- Managed data center, servers, security, support, and network infrastructure, utilizing a $1 million annual budget. -- Led project to completely overhaul corporate network infrastructure. Established and managed project budget and schedule. Worked with Cisco engineer to redesign network in a VLAN configuration, including secure wireless networking. Coordinated installation of equipment with business units to minimize impact on operations. Trained IT staff to maintain and troubleshoot the new equipment. RESULTS: Significantly increased the performance and reliability of the corporate network and provided wireless network access to meet the needs of an increasingly mobile user base.-- Implemented a virtual private network (VPN) to replace expensive private data circuits with lower cost broadband circuits. Planned and managed total project. Procured broadband circuits and coordinated cut-over of three facilities. Expanded connectivity to facilities in Mexico, Europe, and Australia. RESULTS: Reduced site-to-site data communications costs by $22,000 per year. Increased productivity and communications capabilities of remote users by providing the ability to securely access data on the internal corporate network from anywhere in the world via the Internet.

-- Primary duties were to plan and schedule production runs.-- Continued development of inventory control system and expanded its use to all production lines until decision was made to implement a commercial computer system.

-- Assembled refrigeration units.-- Lancer did not have a computerized inventory control system so I wrote a rudimentary one in my spare time to track inventory on my production line.
