Executive Vice President
With over 30 years of administrative leadership, many at the executive level, this role leveraged the breadth of my experience as I supervised the other Vice Presidents at the university and served in the absence of the President. The Vice Presidents communicated that this was a helpful experience for them because they were able to benefit from my Vice Presidential experience in three key areas: student affairs, finance, and development. In addition, I was assigned many of the most important administrative responsibilities at the institution including chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, chair of the Self-Study Committee, liaison to legal counsel, close relationships with the Board of Trustees, etc. I was also charged with a key responsibility to effectuate the sale of a major property asset that would have strategic importance for the future of the institution.
Vice President Of Development
Working closely with the University President, this role enabled me to work with donors, alumni, and members of the Board of Trustees to raise funds to benefit the University. Key accomplishments included raising over $1 million each year for the Annual Fund, as well as a $100,000 scholarship commitment and a $20,000 unrestricted gift. Furthermore, I was successful in leading the effort that raised $375,000 in capital funds for a University project. Finally, I led the successful University Status Committee that resulted in the institution moving from a college to a university.
