Throughout my tenure at IBM I have been frequently rewarded for my contributions to the organization with increased responsibility and promotions. In my current role, I directly and indirectly lead a Product Management team focused on managing the development of complex software products. I provide hands on, and dynamic leadership through the facilitation of development opportunities, guidance and mentorship. The cultivation of partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is an essential component of my role. I work with cross functional teams to support organizational objectives and goals. I act as an advisor to the Marketing team by providing insight regarding key messaging, go to market strategy and updates regarding improved products. I also work closely with the Sales team to develop pricing and packaging strategies that align with unique customer needs. I am an advocate for bringing feedback from customers, partners, sales, support, services and marketing into development to ensure that the product roadmap is both market and customer driven.

As the Product Line Manager for DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows, I led a product management team focused on managing a complex agile developed software product that balances the needs of Global Fortune 500 corporations to small and medium business. I led and worked collaboratively across teams on strategic and tactical development roadmaps, market messaging, go to market strategy, pricing, packaging, sales and partner enablement, aggressive tactical sales plays and longer term competitive strategies. I elicited customer, partner and internal stakeholder feedback to ensure DB2 addressed end user needs.

As the Principal Product Manager for Database Appliances, I led a Product Management team responsible for the development and delivery to market of Database Appliances such as the IBM Smart Analytics System. In alignment with customer needs and market trends, I led the development of new Database Appliances. The go to market process for these systems included solution positioning, competitive market analysis, fulfillment, strategy and presentation to customers and analysts. I elicited customer, partner and internal stakeholder feedback to ensure that each Database Appliances roadmap addressed end user needs.

During my time as the Senior Product Manager for Warehouse Optimized Systems, I led a Product Management team tasked with bringing Warehouse Optimized Systems, including the Balanced Warehouse and Smart Analytics System, to market. This process necessitated cohesive cross functional partnerships and internal stakeholder support to ensure that business development goals were met. My commitment to streamlining processes and implementing solutions to client challenges led to several accomplishments during my time in this position.

In this role I managed a team that was responsible for the delivery of consulting services for Data Management emerging and niche technologies worldwide. Emerging technologies included areas such as BigData, Cloud and Mashups while mature technologies included products such as DB2, InfoSphere Warehouse and Informix. I worked diligently to maintain open lines of communication with sales and customers to identify areas in which emerging technologies could solve challenges. In order to ensure product efficiency and client satisfaction, I partnered with the Development Labs on alpha and beta tests.

During my time as the Professional Services Practice Manager, my responsibilities included the management of relationships with both internal and external clients, opportunity development and expansion, P&L responsibility and services leadership. I drove sales and ensured organizational sustainability by working with Informix clients to determine how the services teams could both solve their technical challenges and enable their own teams to succeed. With the acquisition of Informix Software by IBM, I was actively involved in the successful integration of Informix Professional Services into IBM's Information Management Lab Services.

As a Sales Engineer I provided support and partnership to account executives during the sales process. I leveraged my subject matter expertise to provide ongoing technical support and guidance to clients. Customer service and satisfaction was of the utmost importance and a critical component of my role, therefore I acted as a focal point in the field to resolve issues.

As the Professional Services Consultant, I was responsible for managing relationships, developing and expanding opportunities, and managing P&L. I worked with a diverse portfolio of clients from start-ups to global corporations to modernize and optimize infrastructure within various environments from Transaction Processing to Enterprise Data Warehouses. In support of business development initiatives, I worked with clients to understand challenges and propose compatible solutions.
