Performed all phases of accelerated implementation of SAP Product Costing and Material Ledger including parallel valuation and cross company costing. Client is in the retail apparel accessory business with distribution centers in several countries worldwide. Responsibilities included system design, process documentation, testing, implementation, training and integration support for a first-time implementation effort.

Provided SAP Management Accounting and Data Governance support for client projects. Specialized in manufacturing and supporting clients in other industries as needed. Projects included system implementations and redesigns involving various core SAP CO functionality such as Cost Center Accounting, Overhead Management and Product Costing. Also supported SAP modules such as Project Systems, Material Ledger and CO Profitability Analysis. Activities included all phases of project design through final acceptance testing and enhancement.

Provided post go-live SAP system support to enhance management accounting processes and reporting. Effectively stabilized financial reporting system involved several operating companies with consolidated corporate reporting. System design required focus on core SAP CO functionality as well as Material Ledger.

Developed corporate structure for cost and profitability reporting. Selected as SAP CO Lead for global implementation. Project involved modifying existing SAP instances at plant locations and well as creating cost import and integration structure for non-SAP locations. Process involved all phases of implementation – blueprint through realization and stabilization. Designed and introduced a corporate wide standard cost methodology. Worked closely with external consultants to create a cost center planning application using Business Intelligence. Coordinated team of 5 employees in financial and IT lead roles. Project was successfully implemented in May 2010.

Selected as SAP FI/CO Team Lead for corporate directed system conversion project. Responsibilities involved blueprinting existing procedures, developing SAP solutions and configuration requirements then testing, documenting and training SAP processes. Project was complex and lasted 19 months.Received expert formal SAP training from SAP America and internal Heraeus SAP staff. Initial role in Accounting department as Cost Accounting Manager required restructure of costing structure and documentation of processes and procedures for work center and overhead rate development and review. Primary tasks were to assist executive management in better understanding product costs in order to support decision making processes and to implement a responsibility accounting structure.

Responsible for initial implementation of ProPricer Estimating system at Arizona location. Assigned with duty to restructure proposal development and quoting process and built a team capable of responding to customer pricing demands and requirements. Designed a quick and simple catalog pricing process and tool for responding to informal quotes within specified dollar thresholds. Submitted and received approval of all required documentation to participate in direct U.S. Government contracting. Supervised estimating department staff.

As primary corporate accountant, role was to provide cost accounting and financial analysis for a precision machining, manufacturing and engineering company with annual sales of around $100M. Responsibilities include financial performance analysis and forecast for presentation to external parties, preparation and analysis of job costing and variance reports, preparation of divisional and customer profit/loss reports, development of cost-recovery rates for various types of work centers, maintenance and control of perpetual inventory in an ERP system using average actual costing, oversight of Inventory Control associates and monthly reconciliation and analysis of all Cost of Goods Sold accounts. Additional duties have included support of external reviews, troubleshooting and correction of accounts receivable processes, lead inventory valuation for financial audits, develop rate structure for engineering support services, served as Contract Administrator for Government contracts, and created MS Access and SQL report applications to support various data requirements both within and outside the accounting department. Successfully completed assignment as Project Manager for SoftBrands Fourth Shift ERP system re-engineering.
