I currently work in municipal communications. Inspired by the groundbreaking series of articles in the New York Times in 2017, I also launched a reporting project last year, the UAP Register, which brings to bear my skills in online journalism and accessing public records to provide accurate, even-handed, and non-sensational coverage of a topic I've been fascinated with since an encounter I had at the age of 10. I am currently in FOIA litigation with the federal government.https://uapregister.substack.com/My path to journalism began in Los Angeles over a decade ago as a documentary filmmaker and editor. I later branched off into web and photojournalism to cover the Occupy movement, often staying in encampments along the East Coast to provide reporting via Twitter and websites listed in my Projects section.I also co-founded and edited The Declaration (now defunct), a Philadelphia-based hyperlocal online news site, where I managed a small group of reporters and wrote articles on Philadelphia politics and local happenings.
