David has spent his career at the nexus of engineering, manufacturing, and finance. A specialist in operational turnarounds, scaling for growth, acquisitions, and sponsor-invested assets, David takes a hands-on approach both on the shop floor and in the boardroom.Previous to Dodson, David was the Managing Director of NZ Opportunity Partners, a venture that he founded in 2017 to identify and invest in a small-to-medium enterprise (SME) in New Zealand. Prior, David spent five years at J.P. Morgan in Chicago where he specialized in mergers and financings for global clients in the automotive original equipment and aftermarket sectors. An American from Chicago's near south suburbs, David now lives in Auckland, New Zealand with his wife, Moira, and sons, David and Frank.
