Structural Data Centre ConsultantPrimary Responsibilities:Design and Analysis:Design structural components of data centres, including the foundations, framing, and envelopes, to ensure resilience and stability.Perform structural analysis using software tools to simulate loads (wind, seismic, thermal, and mechanical equipment loads).Develop designs that accommodate heavy equipment installations and high floor loading capacities typical in data centres.Project Management:Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and other specialists to integrate structural design with mechanical and electrical systems.Oversee project progress, ensuring that structural aspects are built according to specifications, codes, and client requirements.Manage timelines and resources, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure adherence to safety standards.Compliance and Standards:Ensure that all designs and constructions comply with local building codes, national standards, and industry best practices for data centre construction.Stay updated with changes in regulatory standards that impact structural design and construction methodologies.Sustainability and Efficiency:Incorporate sustainable building practices and materials into the structural design to enhance energy efficiency and minimize environmental impact.Optimize structural systems to support innovative cooling and energy distribution systems that reduce the operational carbon footprint.Risk Management:Conduct risk assessments for structural failure modes and develop mitigation strategies.Prepare for natural hazards that could impact the structural integrity of data centres, such as earthquakes and floods.Consultation and Client Interaction:Provide expert advice and consultation to clients on the structural design and maintenance of data centres.Prepare reports and presentations for clients to explain structural design.

I'm a trained P6 planner and can programme your works using the Oracle program which can be integrated into Master programmes or simply managed and issued in PDF format with data displayed on a Dashboard. Project success comes from good planning and looking at a project through WBS's can help your projects run smoothly and also clearly deal with risks early should delays occur restructuring the works to meet critical dates required by your clients. I also use Autodesk Civil & Revit. I can produce design drawings for your projects and advise on BIM integration and your requirements where this system of management is used and how it effects your business during a construction project.
